Chase the Fight

Creating a team’s tagline, mantra, and eventually the full creative production to last a full year is no small feat. It takes a full marketing team effort and of we’re always looking to elevate.

It took months to land on a phrase that embodied the team’s state and mindset, but we did it—until we had to do it again. Because of trademark issues, it makes this process even more difficult. Sticky note meetings, brainstorms, pitches, and executive approvals will all be part of cultivating your brand for the next year, and like trademark issues, there are certainly going to be bumps along the way.

The Process

We landed on the idea of needing a sleek set that included elements of our ballpark and something that made our players feel like they were preparing for the season long grind.

Although we handle nearly all creative internally, these types of projects always call for outside vendors. So, we met with production companies for months to land on a space that was very different than years prior to land on something that would be versatile enough for both photo and video assets to be captured over the course of five days and 65 players.

The Visuals

Through trial and error, we landed on the final look feeling intentional with the structures, lighting and angles within the set. The blues and oranges allowed us to evoke the stillness of preparation and the intensity of maxing out.
